Mailbox Alerts in Home Assistant from 100+ Yards with Z-Wave Long Range

In this video, I put Long Range Z-Wave (ZWLR) to the ultimate test by setting up a mailbox sensor over 100 yards from my house.
Long Range Z-Wave offers 4 times the range of traditional Z-Wave, and Home Assistant’s new ZWA-2 antenna supports it out of the box. Using a Zooz contact sensor with their waterproof case, I created an automation that notifies me when the mail arrives. No more walking to the end of the driveway to check an empty mailbox.
Check out the video to see the full setup, including how I solved the metal mailbox Faraday cage problem and configured the Home Assistant automation.
